Lyon, 2 April 2020 - A joint agreement with Philagro France and Nichino Europe further strengthens independent tests of Amoéba’a biocontrol product. This time, various formulations of the lysate of the amoeba Willaertia magna C2c Maky will be tested for the control of downy mildew on grapevines and late blight on potatoes. This agreement presents a significant exploitation potential for Amoéba and corresponds to an essential step towards a possible commercial partnership. Philagro France, resulting from the strategic alliance of three Japanese R&D groups, is a renowned stakeholder in the crop protection market, it has been involved in commercialising biocontrol solutions for French agriculture for 20 years. Nichino Europe, the European subsidiary of the Japanese plant-protection company Nihon Nohyaku, distributes well-established and innovative crop-protection products [TE1] worldwide. The Biological Evaluation Centre for the two companies, based near Orléans, and its experimentation network, have been made available for the tests.
